"Caroline's artistry has grown with each new album. Her Carmel Valley Ride is remarkable. The original tracks "Memory Tattoo" and "Saved" are fusions of lyric and melody, whose effect is emotionally devastating. Her cover of "Lovin' in My Baby's Eyes" is joyous. Whatever the humanity of the song, she gets to the heart

of it in a direct pure voiced way. No stunting around from this singer/composer, she is all truth, all heart. Makes me proud..."

--E.L. Doctorow

Singer-songwriter Caroline Doctorow has been called a great champion of American folk music. Her most recent album Dreaming in Vinyl reached #2 on the national folk radio airplay charts. She received The Alexander Award from the Long Island Arts Council in 2018, and an official New York State Proclamation honoring her many years of work as a folksinger. In addition to eleven solo albums, she released the first retrospective of the work of '60s folk icons Richard and Mimi Fariña titled Another Country which received critical acclaim. She has opened for The Band, Alison Krauss, and Tim O'Brien, among others. Her songs and her voice have been heard on soundtracks on the large and small screen. She is the daughter of the late world-renowned author E.L. Doctorow

Birmingham Sunday a song from my Another Country album - will be featured in a NEW documentary film by Emmy-nominated director Ramesh Sharma. The film "Ahimsa: Gandhi - The Power of His Message" celebrates Gandhi's work towards non-violence. Birmingham Sunday was written by folk icon Richard Fariña and produced for me by Pete Kennedy. The premiere will take place at the United Nations next month to mark Gandhi's birthday! I'm so happy to be a part of a film that promotes world peace. XOCaroline
